We made it! 57 days from Canterbury to the Great St Bernard Pass, halfway to Rome. The Great St Bernard Hospice and Hotel, where we are staying, has been providing hospitality for 1100 years, open all year around even when there are 30 meters of snow on the ground. We are elated.

Congratulations! you made it.

Incredible. What an achievement. Have loved reading your blogs. I imagine you haven’t had a great deal of time or energy to write that much about your exploits. I, for one, would love to hear more of your adventures, warts (or should I say blisters?!) and all.

SOOOOO AWESOME! Your expressions in this morning’s selfie really say it all – as does the vista photo. GEEZ. It all makes me want to cry tears of happiness for you and your accomplishments and adventures together these past 57 days. BUT, as your expressions reveal, this is clearly so much more than just the past 2 months – it’s really about the past 40+ years! That you all have successfully made it to the halfway point of the Via, after 8 weeks and mostly just the company of each other, and that you still hold onto each other so lovingly in your morning selfies – THAT is especially awesome. Hope to see you in DC when I’m there in August! XOXOX
